Spirit of Faith Family Church

Would you like to pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior?

At Spirit of Faith Family Church our most important mission is to connect people with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that a relationship with God is possible through personal faith in Jesus Christ. In fact, God desires to have a relationship with you!

Here are a few important scriptures we'd like to share with you on the topic.

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." In our fallen state, our hearts tend to run from God and rebel against Him. The Bible calls this sin. It breaks our relationship with God.

Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Spiritual death or separation from God is the penalty for sin. Someone has to pay for our sin.

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." To restore the relationship that sin has broken, God made a way through His Son, Jesus Christ.

John 17:3, "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you.

Romans 5:8, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus stood in for us and died in our place so we wouldn't have to be eternally separated from God. He offers you and me eternal life!

2 Corinthians 5:21, "He (God) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Romans 10:9-10, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." You can only receive the free gift of salvation by faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith; - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; - not by works, so that no one can boast." We can't earn salvation by doing good works. We can only receive what He did for us by faith in His redemptive work.

My Prayer

Right now if you have chosen to believe that Jesus died for your sins and want to receive new life through Him, pray this simple prayer:

"Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died for me to pay the price for my sins. I've come to accept your offer of eternal life. Jesus, I ask You now to become my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart now, I pray. Thank you for forgiving me of all my sin. Thank you for eternal life. From this day forward, I will choose to follow you. I am now your child. You are now my father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer, you've just made the most important decision you will ever make! To continue growing in Jesus Christ, make sure to read your Bible every day--beginning with the New Testament. Also, sharing your faith with another believer and being around people who believe like you do is God's way to help you grow in your new faith.

If you live in the Cedar Rapids area, we welcome you to come tell us about your decision to follow Jesus. We would love to help you get started on your new walk with God. God has so much more for you. We'll do our best to make you feel right at home.

If you live far away, please email us or call 319-366-2147 to tell us about the commitment you've made. We can help you find a good church in your area. We would also like to give you a Bible and books to help you in your walk with God. We're excited for you!
